Frequently asked questions
That completely depends on your pet's needs and routine. Since we charge based on time, it is no extra charge to feed or administer medication, and all snuggles are included as well. Drop-ins normally consist of playing and feeding, while walks may just include a walk with a water refresh. Every animal is different, and no situation is the same!
Schedule a free consultation today and we can chat about your animal's care routine and needs. We'd love to meet them!
Lend a Paw works as a team; therefore, it will not be the same sitter every time. Working as a team gives us more availability and flexibility with clients and also ensures our sitters can have off days/vacation time as well. All of our sitters are trained and excited to work with our existing clients and new clients.

Of course - this is as much fun for you and us! We use the Time To Pet app, so you receive a report card for every visit. We will show you how to navigate the app during your consultation. We love being able to send you updates on how your pets are doing while you're away.
Most consultations last about 30-45 minutes, but we love sitting and connecting with our clients so they will last longer occasionally. We want to ensure we go over all the questions you have, while also ensuring we have all the information we need to properly care for your animals.
Per the instructions we send after your consultation is scheduled, please complete your Time To Pet account in full prior to the consultation. We also ask that you have a spare key made (and test it) prior to the consultation.
During the consultation we will ask for a home and yard tour to ensure we know where items are to care for your pets while you're away. With that being said, homes are for living in so please do not worry.
Yes, we are bonded and insured through Business Insurers of the Carolina's. We believe it is important for our team, for the animals, and for your home to be insured and bonded.
Payment is due the day following your final service. To accommodate everyone, we accept many forms of payment: cash, check, PayPal, Venmo, and direct payment through the Time To Pet app. This will be disclosed on your invoice and we are happy to answer any questions along the way.
We utilize a lockbox to access your home. We can provide one for $20 or you can provide your own.
We do not offer any boarding. All of our services are in the client's home. Keeping pets in their home while owners are gone eases stress on the animals and allows us to keep their routine while you're out of town.
